Every Old Yankee cutting board is meticulously handmade from start to finish, with attention to every detail. We use only kiln-dried hardwoods and top-quality materials.
Our Round board’s interior light wood is always hard maple, known for its durability and resistance to odor transfer. The outer edges feature highly figured curly maple, often called “tiger stripe,” adding unique character. Darker accents of sapele mahogany complement the design. These hardwoods are selected not only for their beauty but also for their ability to withstand frequent use.
Each Old Yankee cutting board includes four rubber feet secured with stainless steel screws. These feet allow for airflow and provide a stable, non-slip grip on your countertop. Before shipping, every cutting board is finished with food-safe mineral oil.
